KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) is a province of Pakistan. It is located in the country’s north-western region, along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border and close to the Tajikistan border. The people of KPK are famous for their hospitality. It was previously known as the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) until 2010 when the 18th Amendment to Pakistan’s Constitution changed its name to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is known colloquially by a variety of other names. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the third-largest Pakistani province in terms of both population and economy, despite being the smallest of Pakistan’s four provinces geographically. It is home to 17.9% of Pakistan’s total population, with the majority of residents being ethnic Pashtuns and Hindko speakers. The province is the location of the ancient region of Gandhara, which includes the ruins of its capital, Pushkalavati, which is located near modern-day Charsadda. Because of its proximity to the Khyber Pass, the region’s history has been marked by frequent invasions by various empires.
